The Edusim project has certainly been a benefactor of the “Crowd Accelerated Innovation” & the power of web video.

TED’s Chris Anderson says the rise of web video is driving a worldwide phenomenon he calls Crowd Accelerated Innovation — a self-fueling cycle of learning that could be as significant as the invention of print. But to tap into its power, organizations will need to embrace radical openness.

3D Immersive Touch and the Ipad

After working on the 3D immersive touch user interface for nearly 4 years it is becoming obvious that the interactive surface and 3D collide in a rather large way over the coming years. With the IPad (predictably) ushering in this new age, it should come as no surprise to see “Epic Citadel” as being well worthy of the “3D immersive touch” moniker.

Immersive Educations Primary/Elementary School Technology Workgroup

I have been named Co-Chair of the Immersive Educations Primary/Elementary School Technology Work Group (PES.TWG) – we are currently working on the charter, mission, and organizational structure. Much of what we intend to do is to build a K-12 community around 3D immersive educational technology by providing: guides, tutorials, and professional development opportunities ; 3D educational & visualization tools and content ; and a platform to share your experience and knowledge. This group will have 2 formal tradeshows for delivering face to face professional development: April in Boston at the Annual Immersive Education Summit ; and sarting this year we have been invited to officially start an immersive education track at ISTE 2011 in Philadelphia ( ┬áStay tuned for further details as this new Immersive Education Consortium initiative will soon launch !
